I love Westport, as much for its values as for its beauty. We’re a community of commitment and compassion, to our families, our careers, and to others.
I grew up in Westport - and am about to celebrate my 50th Staples High School Reunion - and chose to come back to give my family the opportunities that I had. My three daughters: Rachel, Margot and Charlotte are all graduates of Westport schools. My wife Nancy and I are big fans of the Library, the Levitt, the Playhouse, Longshore and Compo Beach.
I am a proud product of Westport's excellent public schools: Hillspoint Elementary, Coleytown Junior High, and Staples. I graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Psychology, and N.Y.U.'s Stern School of Business with an M.B.A. in Marketing with Honors. As a graduate of the Department of Education’s Alternate Route to Certification (ARC) Program, I am also certified to teach History/Social Studies in Connecticut public schools.

I was first elected to Westport's Representative Town Meeting, the town's legislative body, in 2003. During my seven-year tenure, I was elected unanimously as Deputy Moderator three times and, at various times, chaired four RTM committees: Health & Human Services, Information Technology, Library Museum & the Arts, and the ad hoc Communications Committee.
I had the privilege of chairing or co-chairing a number of town groups appointed by Westport's First Selectman: the Downtown Plan Subcommittee and the Wastewater Management Committee and its Septic System Education Taskforce, and serving on on Celebrate Westport Committee and the Longshore 50th Anniversary Committee.
